Obituary for Catherine H. Wicykowski

Catherine "Kay” H. Wicykowski 83 of Enfield, widow of Edward F. Wicykowski entered into Eternal Life on Sunday September 25, 2005 at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs. She was born on Feb. 9, 1922 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lorino) Russotto and was a lifelong resident of Enfield. Prior to her retirement in 1951, Kay was employed by Bigelow Sanford Carpet Co., and later was employed by Pratt & Whitney for 15 years, during her working career she also worked part-time at Hallmark Cards for 5 years. She was known for her great talent as an excellent seamstress by all her customers. Kay was a very active and devoted member of St. Patrick's Church where she volunteered numerous hours, was on many committees, served as Head Usher at the Saturday evening Mass and was a member of the Altar Society.
Kay is survived by her two loving daughters, Cathy H. Wicykowski of Mission, Kansas and Therese A. Donini and her companion, Kevin Connolly of Milford, CT, a grandson, the light of her life Eddie Donini. She is also survived by two brothers, Dr. Joseph Russotto of Hampton, VA and Bernard Russotto of Hartford, CT and a sister-in-law, Muriel Russotto of Bloomfield and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grandnephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Francis and Samuel Russotto.
Funeral services in celebration of Catherine's life will be held on Thursday Sept. 29, 2005 at 9am from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, Enfield. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's King St. Cemetery, Enfield. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday Sept. 28, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels.
