Gertrude C. (Call) Clark, 82, of Enfield, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Bennington, New Hampshire on December 7, 1931, Gertrude was the daughter of the late Theodore and Gertrude (Cody) Call. She was a graduate of Glastonbury High School. Gertrude lived in the Enfield community for fifty-five years and was a communicant of Holy Family Church since its inception. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family on many vacations and at the summer cottage in New Hampshire. Gertrude had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gertrude is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Raymond F. Clark; her children, Raymond and Deborah Clark of Newington, Karen and Richard Greco of Southwick, MA, Joanne and Edward Cole of Kensington, Thomas and Victoria Clark of Somers, and David Clark and his companion, Karen Bosworth; her grandchildren, Erin, Jason, Richard, Edward, Colleen, Ryan, Christine, Kelly, Samantha, Jennifer, David, Madison, Paige and Austin; ten great-grandchildren; her brother, Glenn and Helene Call of Ridgefield; three sisters, Alice and Irving Banning of South Newfane, VT, Patricia and Thomas Fusco of Newfane, VT, and Kathleen Call of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister and three brothers. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 by 9:00 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels for a procession to Holy Family Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Patrick King Street Cemetery. Gertrude’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT 06082. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 204, Chicago, IL 60611.
