Obituary for Michael Duni

Michael Duni, 83, of Enfield, went to be reunited with his beloved wife Katherine “Kitty” (Carenza) Duni, in eternal life, on Tuesday Nov. 24, 2015. He was born on January 22, 1932 in Suffield, CT, son of the late Michael and Ursula Duni. He attended local schools and resided in the area all his life. Prior to his retirement he was employed for 35 years with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Michael also had his own landscaping and general maintenance business Michael’s Service Co. and worked for Hamilton Standard (UTC) & Roncari Construction. In his younger days he raised tobacco, enjoyed the great outdoors especially doing yard work, and was always lending a helping hand where ever needed.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael L. Duni of Freedom, Maine, many nieces & nephews, along with in-laws, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings, Chauncey, John, Bill, Viola & Stacia.
Funeral Services for Michael will be held on Saturday Nov. 28, 2015, relatives and friends may gather during calling hours from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels 43 Shaker Rd. Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Adalbert Church, 90 Alden Ave. Enfield. Internment will then take place in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
